Mr. Jemmett is a founding Principal of Breakwater Equity Partners. In addition to his CEO responsibilities, Phil oversees and actively participates in the analysis and evaluation of case information submitted by a prospective client, in order to offer them the best workout scenario available. Phil is a hands-on manager, working individually with clients to ensure a successful outcome for every workout case.
Phil has been in the real estate & finance industry for many years, initially in the private money lending industry focusing on commercial projects. Phil then founded LJL Funding, a residential private lending firm, together with other principles from the commercial lending business. It was here that he developed a successful platform for residential private money lending in the midst of the most challenging real estate crisis in history.
Phil foresees the next few years as difficult for commercial real estate owners and developers. He strategically founded Breakwater Equity Partners to provide property owners with a comprehensive solution to their real estate challenges. Phil grew up in Australia where he studied engineering before moving to London where he lived for several years. He moved to the U.S. to study economics at the University of Wisonsin, Madison and has lived in the states ever since. Phil currently resides in La Jolla, CA and has two grown sons.

Mr. Wilkie is a founding Principal at Breakwater Equity Partners, LLC. His primary responsibilities include; corporate development, operations, internal finance, and client relations. Harlan coordinates Breakwater’s internal workout teams, assists in developing client and investor relationships, and creates and implements proprietary internal systems and processes for the firm.
Prior to joining Breakwater, Harlan worked as Director of Real Estate for Westview Financial in San Diego, CA. While at this firm Harlan was responsible for researching current markets, constructing working business models & structures, and working with the firm’s internal team, lawyers, accountants, and advisors to generate new projects for the company. He also managed multiple stakeholders, and fostered investor relations. Previous to this Harlan worked as the Controller of Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, a 115 bed hospital in North Carolina, as well as the Interim CFO of their sister hospital. Here he analyzed and created financial statements and reports to ensure optimization of multiple revenue streams and reduce overhead to better position the hospital’s overall financial health.
Harlan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California where he earned the graduating class’ “Top Business Plan” award. He also received a Paramedic degree from Oregon Health Sciences University, served as a Fire Fighter and Paramedic for the Portland Fire Bureau and also performed Search and Rescue off the Oregon Coast for the U.S Coast Guard.

As a Research Analyst for BreakWater Equity Matt provides several years experience in financial analysis, business planning, and forecasting.
In this most recent downturn in the economy Matt managed a team of professionals charged with repositioning troubled real estate assets for regional financial institutions. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, Mr. Masterson moved to London to work as a researcher for George Osborne, Member of Parliament.
Mr. Masterson has also obtained his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) from the University of San Diego. He also is an active member of National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).

As an Independent Contractor for BreakWater Equity, Rodney offers over 25 years of experience as an attorney in both the government and the private sector. He has represented businesses and individuals in the areas of business formation, planning and consulting with a strong financial, regulatory, and taxation focus.
Rodney has practiced law in a large law firm, a smaller boutique firm, and his sole practice. Mr. Solenberger was senior attorney with the Office of Thrift Supervision ("OTS") and its predecessor agencies, the Federal Home Loan Bank Board ("FHLBB") and Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. As well, Rodney was a senior trial attorney with the United States Department of Energy.
Mr. Solenberger received his Juris Doctor degree with honors from the George Washington University National Law Center, and received a L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of San Diego.

As an advisor for BreakWater Equity Mitch offers his extensive knowledge and experience in private financings, real estate investments, collateralized lending, financial reporting systems and controls, and Federal and State income taxation.
Mitch has worked on over $1 billion of real estate transactions over the past eight years as a direct lender and broker. As a financial executive, Mitch worked with venture capital startup companies as well as large and mid-sized public companies, some of which included Caterpillar Inc., Nissan Motor Corporation, Anacomp. In addition, he has served various industries as a Certified Public Accountant for over 30 years, including Deloitte & Touche.

As an advisor for Breakwater Equity, Jeff’s experience includes marketing, business systems, and technology.
For more than 20 years Jeff has been in leadership roles from start-ups to Fortune 500 firms. Having led several companies through periods of tremendous growth, he is well-versed in crisis and change management, as well as managing aggressive business development initiatives. Jeff has helped lead new facility launch teams and turn-arounds for international Fortune 500 companies including McDonald’s Corporation, PepsiCo and MGM Grand. He also led the national expansion efforts of regional mortgage bank, which saw over 400% growth in a three-year period.
Jeff is also actively involved in consulting for small to mid-size regional banks that are looking to expand their breadth and scope to a national presence. Jeff grew up in Pennsylvania where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Widener University, and has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) University of Nevada – Las Vegas.
